Congenital hypothyroidism is manifested as retardation of physical and mental development due to thyroid dysgenesis or defective synthesis of thyroid hormone.

This is one of the most common endocrine disease in childhood.

The clinical pictures include typical face, umbilical hernia, stunted in growth, and retardation of osseous and mental development, etc.

The neonatal screening program by the radio-immuno assay is used for the earlier diagnosis of congenital hypothyroidism and the differential diagnosis with the other diseases that were manifested as retardation of physical and mental development is needed.

The earlier the treatment is started, the better the intellectual potential and the lesser the neurological sequlae are.

We experienced one case of 7-year-old female patient with congenital hypothyroidism who had been diagnosed as a cerebral palsy at the age of 4-year-old without proper management.

We report the case with clinical, radiological and laboratory findings.
